Miraginava
2014
Miraginava has as its starting point the work of artist Lourdes Castro, who focuses his work in the shadow of plants, people or objects, having as field support "poetry."
In this way, Miraginava is a wonderful trip to the delightful world of shadows, where the poetic universe of Lourdes Castro crosses, rips and dilutes the text When I Was Born by Isabel Martins Minhos.
"When I was born I had never seen anything.
One dark, very dark, in my mother's womb.
When I was born I had never seen the sun or a flower or a face.
I knew no one, and no one knew me.
When I was born
did not know what was the sea,
nor that there were forests,
nor that there was a world with mountains and beaches.
When I was born,
had never seen a bird,
did not even know there were animals with feathers,
with other scales,
and on the other, as the dog."
In this play, movement, music and shadows make us discover and reinvent tastes, smells, sounds and looks a journey without end, which brings us back images and sensations, where the Self and the Other, Nature and Culture and the Universe manifest themselves as opposites needed to understand, to the ideas and thinking. Contrasts, light / shadow, the delicacy of magic in what we see beyond what is seen.
